OHMPA’s Annual Fall Asphalt Seminar - North America’s largest one-day paving-only seminars attracting approximately 500 people comprised of members, municipal representatives, MTO and consulting engineers.

OHMPA’s Annual Spring Operations Seminar - A one-day paving seminar and demonstration for members focusing on cutting-edge technologies that are improving the quality and efficiency of paving work in Ontario. 

OHMPA’s Annual Road Tour Seminars – Designed to offer OHMPA members across the province to meet owners and specifiers and discuss ways to continue to improve Ontario's number one choice in pavement … asphalt.

OHMPA also provides instruction courses at several conferences.

Parntership & Collaboration

OHMPA is active in joint initiatives in R&D with municipal and provincial road owners and other industry associations to foster innovation and share best practices.

Municipal Liaison Committee - addresses HMA issues specific to municipal stakeholders

The Asphalt Institute (AI) – OHMPA has a unique partnership with North America’s largest and most influential source of asphalt research and technical resources.  Technical Director Sandy Brown is AI’s Regional Engineer representing Canada.

Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) – OHMPA is a partner with the FHWA in a cooperative research study for improving Longitudinal Joints. Technical Director serves on the FHWA Pavement Sustainability Technical Working Group.

Transportation Association of Canada – OHMPA participates in the Pavements Standing Committee, and Soils and Materials Standing Committee.

OHMPA has invested in various R&D projects over the years including:
